BEN - Poundland sells everything for £1 - hence the name

Sometimes they have too much tat in stock so they flog it cheaper than £1 because they can't even sell it for £1,

If you are looking for something reduced to around £5 you need to go to a different shop where they don't sell everything for a quid !

To be honest I thought you were taking the mickey but I'm not sure now .. hehe ... Regards.

I've just read this and came to the conclusion Poundland must not step foot into Wales :)

Pointless thread now that has gone WAY off topic. Thanks to the OP who tried!

Ben if you do want a secret santa that looks more expensive in my Poundland (Glasgow) they are selling paperback and hardback books at a pound each (!) and on the back some of the rrp prices are as much as £9.99. And you can just buy one if you want!

A couple of years ago, we did secret santa at work, also had £5 limit. I chose a member of staff who was a Poundland freak and he was always nipping in for a bargin.
I ended up buying 5 of the madest items I could find and wrapping each one up in a poundland carrier bag. Can't remember all the items I got but they did include a bottle of aftershave and a Poundland lorry, went down very well at the time!
