I was saying that if you wanted a £5 gift poundland seems like a silly place to go - when everything is £1.

Your missing the point, I wasn't asking for something for £5 reduced to £1 I was asking if they had anything reduced TO £5 on the basis that if it only costs 50p for an inflatable boat that has been reduced from a £1 that I would get a bargain.
Besides you start your conversation in the third person and end in the first person so it doesn't really make a lot of sense.
