Bit of role reversal in this house, I cannot abide football but the Mrs loves it and she will be watching with her mates, probably on the projector at home with a bbq and plenty of pimms.

I will go shopping when the matches are on :D the shops should be lovely and quiet.

I hate football as does OH but my brothers a big fan. Him and SIL are going to wherever it is all expenses paid thanks to his boss. A one in a lifetime opportunity for them as it's unlikely they'll ever afford a trip like this in their lifetime. As well as watching the footy they get to go on safari lucky things lol. Not so sure SIL will enjoy the footy though lol.

    It's lovely, isn't it?

BTW, I heard yesterday that the Church of England have written prayers for the World Cup.
A prayer for those simply not interested
Lord, as all around are gripped with World Cup fever,
    bless us with understanding,
    strengthen us with patience and
grant us the gift of sympathy if needed.
    Amen.
Sorry, but I don't feel I need understanding, patience OR sympathy for a world gone mad ... :rotfl:

i like watching the world cup but i usually hate football. I think i will mainly be watching it at home as i hate how busy and noisy it can be in pubs sometimes and i hate it when people have been drinking all day as i always seem to bump into the guy thats had way too many and is looking for trouble!

Im too cynical to think we're any good though so i'll just enjoy the football.

It will be delightful wandering round the shops, if its like anything like the last world cup town will be dead quiet.
I was accused of not being a proper bloke last time round as I was shopping instead of watching football, excuse me!!!!!! I love womens beach volleyball and that's a proper sport. :D

One one prayer needed for England fans

"Dear Lord, don't let Wayne Rooney get injured"
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

We have put a swear box in the house, anyone who mentions this thing in south africa is required to put £1 in it. On the other hand only 5 days left until the start of TT fortnight, now that is real entertainment, especialy as I live on the course.
