    Hi
Not sure how much you are wanting to spend on your accommodation but the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool has rooms with two double beds or the Holiday Inn Express Albert Dock double bed and sofa bed. Price range from £100 -£120 per night per room. These are both within walking distance to the albert dock so would save on taxi fares.
  • There is a Campanile, Holiday Inn Express, Travelodge, Jurys, Novotel, Formula One, Ibis, Staybridge all within the Albert Dock area.

There is also a hotel called the DOlby which is cheap n cheerful for about the same price as the Campanile next door.

Search on Laterooms is normally good but try Liverpool.Com also

We stayed at Jury's inn for new year last year - very nice rooms and really good location right on the dock. Breakfast a bit of a swizz though! Anyway it seems they have family rooms : http://liverpoolhotels.jurysinns.com/ROOM

edit: just looked and it's £76 room only or £96 with breakfast for a family of 4 on that night.

If you're there for a couple of days, see if the train service from Southport is good for you. If so, its much nicer to stop in Southport than Liverpool (shops and parks as well as the beach and theme park).

We always stay at the Premier Inn Liverpool (Roby).
Depending on what kind of days you stay there could be various offers.
There's the £29 offer (offers not always on, you might have to stay 2 nights to find it)

Or the offer when you stay the Friday and Saturday and then get Sunday for free.

Its all on their website www.premierinn.com

Jurys is very good value for a family, next best would be Holiday Inn Ex.
The Albert Dock area is not usually noisy in the evening - but can depend on who is playing at the echo Arena (11pm curfew) - its a fantastic place to stay particularly in the summer.

I'd definitley stay there rather than the suburbs - there are a couple of hotels near Sefton Park (Solna, Alicia) but they are a bit tired (approx £6 in a black taxi).

The premier inn on the albert docks is really nice and you get discount on the car park next to the Echo Arena.

I stayed at the Ibis a couple of weeks ago, on the same road as Albert Dock, £42 per room. Free parking.

No problem, rather strange that last orders in the bar is 10:30!
