Paying someone else though my payslip

This does not feel legal - let me know what you think
I am an employee of a company. One of my friends is going to do some parttime temprary work for the same company for £50 net per day.
It has been requested that my pay is increased so that my net pay increases by the appropriate amount and then pass on the £50 per day to my friend.
What is the situation with this - beyond messing up my P60.

Depending on how much you earn, this might be tax neutral, however as a full time employee already paying National Insurance, you would end up paying more NI. Not good for you.
Also, why is this going through your payslip and your bank account rather than the friend's? Money laundering? Tax evasion? Benefit fraud? Possibly not, as we're not talking a huge amount of money, but it's dodgy and I wouldn't get involved.
You need to question the motives of the person who suggested this and consider your position.0 -
Surely the other person would also lose their tax allowance on it.0

They've negotiated take home pay of £50. Presumably they don't care how much they earn gross and what is or isn't deducted - it's the cash in their hand they are bothered about.0 -
Very dodgy. Refuse and say you are not confortable with this.0

Would not touch this with a bargepole. Certainly without the matter being agreed in writing - just look at all the 'my employer overpaid me' threads on here. 2 or 3 years down the line, someone could find thsi and try to reclaim the money from you and you would have a big problem defnding your position.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I have never heard anything like this before. Who exactly requested or suggested this? If it was the company, they sound very dodgy indeed. They should know better. If it was the friend, they obviously don't know how PAYE etc. work or how ethical employers behave.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

As others have said, refuse to allow this to happen."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
