I have some knid of a berry bush, it was established when I bought the house.
Just lately it's dropping its leaves, going brown and has a white sticky marshmellow type substance on it.
See pic below.

Can anyone give me any advice?
TIA.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
looks like a black currant with some sort of wooly aphid attacking it. I would try spraying with some soapy water initially to try to discourage it.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Looks like a blackcurrant alright, but I would have thought it was an aphid problem, treat the same way, but go over the leaves first and squash any aphids you find. Then spray.
The aphids will be under the leaves, the sticky stuff is their poo if you like.
I can't really see very well, but if you look at the growing points, you will see twisted leaves, take off the whole growing point and bin it. That will take away the things the aphids want most and it will regrow.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
