Timber Decking Treatment

I treated my decking in June 2009 with Sadolin Decking Stain & Preserver as I was led to believe this was a superior product.
After only 9months the coating started to peel off. The decking is now looking very uncared for with most of the timber exposed.
Has anyone had a similar experience with this product ?
I have been advised to contact Champions Timber, from whom I bought the Preerver. I have now done this and am awaiting a reply.

I've used Liberon Decking oil for the last two years on my deck (about 60sq/m) and it survived the severe winter without issue.

I use this as well and found it to be very durable.
A couple of coats will last a year.
