Growing Business concerns/Questions

Hello.

I have just had a financial controller look ove rmy accounts and I am a little concerned with the results. The crux of the matter is that I need o cut costs and increase turnover - nothing I did not note but I feel that this has been a real call to action ;)

I need, as part of this cost cutting exercise some advice. I have listed my questions below and would welcome any comments and suggestions. many thanks in advance:

1: I currently use Lloyds TSB and am thinking of moving to Abbey for free business banking. If I have an O/D and Loan with TSB can this be transfered?

2: My business loan with TSB seems to be on an extortionate rate - however my business manager claims that there is no movement on the rate due to it being a 'business loan'. Are there other sources of loan that are cheaper, can I use a personal loan?

3: I currently rent an office but have considered purchasing premises so that at least I am not throwing money away - has any one got any tips on commercial mortgages etc?

4: Can anyone reccomend any reallygood business mobile phone tarrifs

Many thanks

    Hi,

You don't say what kind of business it is, that may help people answer your questions.

There's a link to abbey business OD info
    http://www.anbusiness.com/services/business_overdrafts.shtml
Check it out, it may or may not be for you (you have the information that would sway you either way).

My guess is without much information it's very hard to give specific comments.

What kind of premises do you need? Do you need a physical shop/workshop/offices? Could you work from home?

I think if you provide more information people may be able to give more back.

    Good luck.

Thanks for getting back to me - I am an IT Support business. I have two staff, both located at their own homes who work remotely.

I simply need an office with enough room for two desks, computers and a cupboard - I feel that the £400 + I am paying for rent would be better invested into a property that is an investment for the future.

I am located in Borehamwood Hertfordshire
