Non-Paying Bidders

Hi All
Wondered if this was just me?
I've had a higher proportion of non-paying bidders just lately, no idea why but nothing I can do about that other than restrict my buyers, which I've done as much as possible.
Strange thing is though that the majority of these have been fairly experienced ebayers, 100 or more feedback.
I've been getting no response to reminder invoices, no response to npb from ebay, and not even a response when ebay has closed the case.
And to add insult to injury, NONE of them have disappeared, they're all still selling and bidding and paying other people!
Weird....:(

I've had a few more myself just lately, I just checked through them and some are still active, had a couple who had been deregistered.
Its still not a big problem, just a bit of a pain..0 -
I seem to be having similar problem- no payment and when I try to contact them they just ignore it! How annoying and what a time waster!
Anyway I think its all happening because e-bay doesn't allow sellers to leave a negative feedback for buyers and even when a non-payment recorded against a buyer nothing really happens.

Iand even when a non-payment recorded against a buyer nothing really happens.
Your incorrect 2 NPB strikes and they effectively cant buy much as most sellers ahve there preferences set to exclude bidders with 2 or more. Negative FB for buyers never stopped people sniping you wouldnt have a chance to see their FB.0 -

I'd agree with that. Whatever happens or whatever Ebay do there will always be non payers, stuff happens, some buyers are timewasters and some make mistakes and others have problems that crop up.
The non paying bidder strikes work pretty well and I often get emails from potential buyers complaining that they can't bid because my settings stop them as they have had strikes..0 -
I recently had someone buy 17 items! I did think it strange and on checking they had failed to buy before. I started a dispute after 4 days and sure enough closed in my favour 4 days later. They are no longer registered as the npb strikes have kicked them off ebay. I have had my fees return but being BIN items I missed a week of potential buyers - makes me cross.:mad:0

Me too, but I just ignore them. Don't know whether that's good business practice or not, but it's what I do!
These non payers really are a pest lately, no great problem in the grand scheme of things but still, a pest.0 -
I never said I answered them either!Me too, but I just ignore them.
Strangely enough I met a guy a few weeks ago who got in touch from something else and it turns out he was a non paying bidder of mine a few years ago, he didn't collect when he was supposed to, I thought it was amusing he remembered, I wouldn't have had a clue, I issue a strike and then move on. I've wasted enough time on a non payer, I don't want the hassle of negatives or any other 'retribution' that won't earn me any money..0 -

I had one new buyer bid for two high value items at the same time. About 2 hours before bidding closed they sent me a message saying they are only prepared to collect in person and using cash. This was despite the fact I put collection in person is not available on both listings and only listed Royal Mail Standard Parcels as a delivery option and listed PayPal, Cheque and Postal Order as accepted payment types. Fortuanetly on this occasion they were outbid on both items, but I have had two items where I haven't received payment from the winning biddder.0 -
when i had a slew of these and had time on my hands to investigate them it turned out most of them were interlinked - and clearly part of a ring.0

And it's not just refusal of payment that should justify negative feedback for a buyer. I've had a couple of buyers that have seen rude messages as they haven't received their items within a couple of days of winning the item even though they've received it within the dispatch estimate.0
