Thanks again guys, to be honest I think the guy just stuck it on-line and £10 was a figure that popped into his head while he was placing the add. - I think it's way too high as shoppers could park much closer for about £3-5 per day, or a bit closer for free! - Sorry I should have included this in my origional question. I think for the time being I'll just get in my house and settled and maybe think about approaching the guy a bit further down the line - although I think long term rental looks more likely than actually buying it now.[FONT="]

I have no idea where you are but normally you have to pay about £10k for a parking space when they are extra for new build flats unless you are looking at flat in a city centre which could be £15k or more perhaps so I wouldn't pay more than £10k, try offering £5k first.
It would probably involve quite a bit of legal work if the space is attached to a property as at wont have separate title deeds so you will be looking at £1500-2000 in legals if you have to pay his too.0
