Contact telephone number for Ebay?

I have been stitched up. I was selling two cameras on Ebay. Perfectly legit!

A couple of minutes from the end of the auction a buyer pips the then current buyer to it. Basically the buyer was a scammer. It seems though that because the auction ended with a buyer I am being charged and hounded for the fees by Ebay.

Ebay do not return my emails and I am constantly being emailed to pay the fees - Why should their inept screening allowed this fake buyer to outbid a perfect good ebayer and then try to screw me.

Because I cannot get any joy from the emailing I want to telephone them - Does anyone have a telephone number for sorting this mind of thing out. I had plenty of good feedback and now my account is suspended.

This is my one and only experience of selling on ebay.

There is no telephone number for ebay.


However you can easily get your final value fees back by completing the non paying bidder process, so that takes care of that. The listing fees though are lost, but if you relist after going through the NPB *and* it sells on the second attempt you get a credit for those second set of listing fees.

Also, you could have offered a second chance offer to the second highest bidder, which would save you relist fees.

Forget the phone number. It's not available to mere mortals, and if you found it, they wouldn't speak to you unless you're a power-seller.

Ok, the important stuff.

Have you opened a non-paying buyer dispute? You will get your fees back this way. DON'T open a mutual dispute.

Unfortunately it sounds as though you've let the situation escalate to suspension, so it may be too late to do the above... in which case you'd need to pay the fees...

fay, yes you are quite right. I had overlooked the fact that the OP has been suspended. As it has gone this far I agree that ebay will now be less than sympathetic towards the OP and getting an opportunity to go through the NPB, even assuming a claim is still time, is going to be problematic.
