BRITISH GAS fixed price 2011

Good morning
Can anyone help with my enquiry.
I moved into my house in 2005, it was a new build. I signed up for British Gas Duel Fuel Fixed Tariff in August 2008 and this ends Sept 2011.
At the start of this year I received notice that my Electricity account was being increased from £29.00 per month to £ 132.00 per month. I contacted BG and after many attempts usually being transfered from office to office. They said my meters (Gas & Electric) were not registered, and that I must have changed them at some point!!! Again after much debate, they said I was using too much electricity, and I needed to increase my payments. This is done via DD. I gave up in the end as I was just getting so frustrated, as each time I called I had to relay the same story again.
I have emailed, called and wrote enquiring about my Gas account, as I pay £5.00 yes £5.00 per month. When I received notice of this fee I enquired was this a mistake. But I was assured that the figure was generated from my previous 4 years usage from BG.
Now what do do I do with this account, as I don't want a massive bill for gas used during this fixed term as I thought this was the idea of fixing my tariff. Another point is that when I send in my meter readings, they are never recorded on the bills. They always show estimated readings. Has anyone else had this kind of mess with BG?

Simple solution: read your meters. What do they say? You say you noticed your bills were estimated. What do they say your actual debt will be? If you do not want a massive bill then you have left it a little late - you should have demanded the estimated bills be sorted out earlier.
A fixed tariff is a fixed price per unit used - it is not a fixed flat payment irrespective of actual useage.0
