Morning peeps,
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a price in one column (£1.44563...) and a quantity of products ordered in another (say 11). Excel is rounds up my price to £1.45 which is what I want and is fine.
However, when I look in my total column after multiplying the figure by a quantity of 11 it comes up with £15.90 as it's mulitplying the original £1.44563 figure and not the rounded up £1.45 result which is what I want - so the total should be £15.95.
Does anyone know how I get the total to be correct?
TIA.......

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

If you go to Tools, Options.
Then select the calculation tab, you need to check the "Precision as displayed" box.
This will force calculations based on the values you can see (not to 100 decimal places).

this function seems to work
=(ROUND(B5,2))*b6
b5 being the original price, b6 being the qty0 -
Thanks so much - both do the trick!!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0
