Currys Electrical Shop

has anyone else tried this? a website called best-tv-prices-co.uk
lists various companies/shops for electrics - i was looking for a panasonic tv.
there is a direct link to currys - and instructs you to type in the special
code number for a discount. the site says it is updated 5 times a day.
i have tried different times, days and always with the same result. i get
re-directed to the currys web-page, but when i type in the discount voucher,
it says it is out of date. when i go to currys directly, the price for the tv
is always more. any thoughts on this? i have contacted currys, but they won't comment on another website [even though they have a direct link on it]
i wrote i would forward my complaint to the office of fair trading - curry's e mailed me with the complaints address for currys - but so far have not replied with the
name of the managing director, as per my request.

It seems reasonable to me that Currys won't comment on the content of a website that they have no connection with. I've had a quick look at https://www.best-tv-prices.co.uk and I can't see any information about the site, who they are, or any transparency as to why they are providing the service that they are. (Or indeed where the discount codes come from).
The domain was registered to a John Watts at the end of June, and 'The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service.'
I would suggest that you email your query to best-tv-prices.co.uk rather than to Currys. But since no contact details appear to be listed on the site, you could try webmaster@best-tv-prices.co.uk or admin@best-tv-prices.co.uk
