Holiday food for goldfish
Comments
-
hi
we are going away tomorrow for just over two weeks, my gold fish will be home alone....i normally feed him twice a day. I have bought a holiday block (i have a two one and a weekend one by chance) However i am worried about him (he is an old boy and we are quite attached to him). He has plants in his tank and a pump. I have however read a few worrying things about the food blocks....any reassurance would be great. He seems to love his feeding times but i dont want to pollute his water with the block nor starve him....
thank you
jackie
ps no neighbours to feed him unfortunately0 -

That may be a good thing, lots of people who don't own goldfish overfeed them.
Take a look at this site for more info, they don't bite.

Fish are absolutely fine unfed if they have real plants in the tank. We go away for a week at a time and fish inside and in the pond are all alright. Give them a good feed every day for a week before you go to ensure they are in tip top condition before you leave, if you are concerned..0
