A Warning

Not sure if this is in the right place, but wanted to let everyone know that Tesco refused to accept the vouchers I have won on the doritos and McVities competitions. They said that they no longer accept printed vouchers due to misuse.
I'm not sure if that is only in my local store or if it is in every one.

sorry to hear that! thanks for the warning - i would imagine it's at the stores discretion???

Our local coop havea 'bogof' offer at the mo, and although the voucher clearly states "not to be used with other promotional offers", you can get x2 dips and x2 big bags of doritos for free :D also scans for a lesser amount than the voucher is worth so takes the remainder off the rest of your shopping. It must be at the stores discretion as my local Tesco did accept my voucher. However, the cashier did insist on calling a supervisor and they scrutinised my voucher for quite a while before checking that I had bought the items and saying it was ok.
They made me feel like I was trying to rip them off , so if I am lucky enough to get anymore I think I will spend them elsewhere.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A

Aww sorry to hear that hun. I tried using mine at my local ASDA and Sainsburys and all went fine. The McVities ones they have to enter the amount to be taken off the bill. by the Doritos ones they just scanned and it too off the full amount of voucher , saving me money on my other shopping.

My local Tesco have had this policy for some time. After a very similar experience to that described by Taloolah over a voucher for Kit Kat over year ago I have given up on any comp that involves printing vouchers.
