Outlook - suddenly can send but not recieve

I suddenly find that I can send e-mails but cannot receive them.

Use Outlook and IE8

Error message - errors occured whilst processing. Unable to connect to server. (Account: pop.wanadoo.co.uk, Pop3 Server local host; error number 0x800ccc0e

Earlier in the day I was doing some tidying up of programmes and deleted Citrix as it looked to relate to a server at the old Council where I worked 7 years ago and have not used since. Could I have done something awful!!!! or is it coincidence. Other things I removed were just odds and sods but I did remove Spamhilator as well.

I also use Thunderbird (keptto keep charity work seperate) and Googlemail. In both of these I can both send and receive mail. Could anyone advise me please?

Change your incoming to pop.orangehome.co.uk, outgoing to smtp.orangehome.co.uk, server ports to outgoing 25, incoming 110. They have changed the servers but it seems random as to when it will actually lock you out, differently on send and receive !! Happened to me about 6 months ago.

Tried changing to pop.orangehome.co.uk and ports 25 an 110. No joy but thanks

Hi and thanks for your replies. I have only just seen yours SteadyEddie.

In the end I created a new Orange account, having deleted the old one. It now works fine.
