is it too late for french beans to be sown?

nope. I've just sown some yesterday and will continue to sow them until the end of june. It's still a bit too cold and I'm in the south! we're down to 5C tonight :(

I think it's still worth a try, especially now you can easily keep them warm so they germinate quickly (a few days). They grow quickly so you might get a crop within a couple of months. Home grown french beans are delish, especially if picked when still small and slim and served with a dash of butter :p

I can't quite believe someone has French Beans nearing harvest this early.....? What with the cold we've had up until recently....
I know, I had to fleece mine up last night, went down to 0c

Bit of a surprise to me, I only went out late because I had forgotten to close the greenhouse, then spent a frantic half hour getting all the covering materials/boxes/buckets out, that I had just put away the same day, thinking I wouldn't be needing them again. Doh
