recommendations for bandage supplier

Options
Does anyone know of a good (& reasonably priced) supplier of bandages please ?

I'm looking for a specific type of bandage - the ones that have the pad already attached to the gauze weave. My grandmother's skin is very fragile so tape causes a bit of damage. We had one "integral" bandage in the house from a first aid kit, and we can't find any replacements at the usual places (Boots, savers, superdrug, tesco, wilkies)

many thanks in advance for any help

Liz

thanks Waterfalls for that. They're very interesting, but not quite what I was after. When I popped into the chemists today, they had the pads & gauze bandages, but as separate entities. What really worked for my nan was that the pad was physically attached to the gauze bandaging so we didn't have to add sticky tape to her skin

    You need "dressings"
Haven't used the following supplier but there's some here : http://www.firstaid4less.co.uk/dressings/sterile-dressings/standard-sterile-dressings.aspx

What has gran done to need bandages (or are you just replacing a simgle used one?) - if gran needs then regularly she needs to talk to her dr/nurse :)

fantastic - thanks for the link. She just needs a pad for a few days - she has oedema around lower legs & somehow slightly nicked the skin a few days ago. All checked out with local GP & NHS direct - it apparantly can leak for days! The advice was to change the pad a couple of times a day until it stops. and we've found that the "all in one" types suit her better as there is no need for sticking plaster, or even that low adhesive tape stuff.
