Hello everyone
. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

Hey PP, I was red last week. Spent a total of £2.88 (biscuits for work, a packet of crisps and some straws!!!).
This week am hoping for a really low spend (or nothing if possible). Please put me down for £2 again this week.
I have everything I need so am going to try REALLY hard this week.
Good luck everyone.

It is a nice sunny day here is Scotland. I was green for last week and going for £20 this week. Payday is Wednesday and it has seemed a long time coming this monthso going to try and not go off track right at the beginning of the month.

Oh dear, spent £1.50 on a magnum yesterday at the beach and £2.19 on a bottle of cider which I didn't drink! And 57p on a big bar of mint aero chocolate which was totally unnecessary when we were getting chinese for dinner (my friend paid). Bad start to the week!! I'm fine when I'm on my own, but as soon as I'm out with friends I just go to pot and waste moneyBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Mark me as red please for last week - I had a £20 budget but spent £32 on a necklace and some earrings on payday on Friday
This week I'm going for £40 to cover all spends apart from groceries - I have one leaving gift, a dinner out and a lunch to pay for as part of my £40 so it will have to be quite a frugal week :A0
