encouraging lower branch growth

Hi All

Hope your are enjoying the lovely weather :j
In our front garden we have two Acuba shrubs which are quite thin on the lower branches, was hoping i could get some advice on thickening out these shrubs
where do i prune if necessary?

    You need to do two things.

    1. Snip off the ends of the lower branches to encourage new shoots to form

    2. Give the bottom of the Acuba some light. This will mean thinning out quite a few stems from the middle and top.

    Give it a good glug of water after you've snipped and shaped it and the bottom will thicken out very nicely and quite quickly.
