Are Tax Credits open on Sunday?

I forgot to ring to renew my tax credits during the week and we go on holiday tomorrow afternoon :o

My paperwork just states lines are open from 8am-8pm, but it doesn't give any days of the week. Do those hours include a Sunday?

Would rather ring and get it sorted before we go as I'm bound to forget again by the time we come back :o
Here I go again on my own....

If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.;)

Looked on website and it does say opened 7 days a week, so you might be lucky

They are open, but I've tried a few times to get through and I just get a recorded message to say ring back later because they are busy.

I thought I had to do it promptly after getting the letter and didn't realise I had until July. I've put the letter in my accounts book, to remind me to ring them when we get home.

Hi they are open 7 days a week. I have been trying to ring for the past 2 weeks on and off each day but keep getting the recorded message that they are busy. Has anyone else managed to get through? If so when do you suggest is the best day and time.

You could try at 7.45....although not officially open until 8am, there are some advisers online then.

Apart from that...school run time in the morning, afternoon and teatime - from around 5 - 6.30. It will still be busy but hopefully you will be able to queue rather than get disconnected.

Sundays generally are a bit quieter but there are a lot fewer staff on.

Mondays are the busiest day of the week.
