Tesco credit card new applications

Had a look for a discussion about the tesco credit card changing it's conditions but did not find anything. I read on here in one thread or another that Tesco clubcard credit card was offering 2 points for every pound spent in store and a point for all other spending. So I went to have look and to get one and found that the rewards had been reduced.

"Collect extra Tesco Clubcard Points on all your shopping - 5 points for every £4 you spend at Tesco or Tesco.com and 1 point for every £4 you spend everywhere else!"

I still think this is an ok reward as the points are worth 5p per pound when exchanged for deals. Any views?

what a coincidence, I've just hopped on to this board for the first time as I wanted to see if anyone had written anything about Tesco credit cards. I'm thinking of getting one in a bid to get more Tesco Clubcard points. I think I'll hang around and see what the experts on here say in reply to you. Hope you don't mind

The new offer is equivalent to 0.25% (or 1% if you use the points for Clubcard Deals). So it is OK but can be beaten by other cashback cards.

The old card offered 0.5% (or 2% if you use the points for Clubcard Deals).
