Yes, at Thorpe Park. I used a mobile phone bill received the day before my visit.

Thanks to the OP, went to Alton Towers yesterday.

Took myself, DH, DS1 (5), DS2 (4), DD (2), Grandma, Grandad, Sister & Friend! No ID requested.

Had a great day and the kids got on far more rides than I anticipated. The kids haven't stopped talking about it and can't wait to go to school and nursery tomorrow to tell everyone about their day out! I forgot how hilly it is at Alton Towers and had to stop for a few rests as the old Braxton Hicks kicked in. Had everyone encouraging me to go into labour, lol - all hoping for Free Annual Passes from Alton Towers if I was stretchered off! Took a nice rest in the Bob the Builder Live Show which the kids adored!

    Thanks!!!!

I went to Alton towers last Tuesday and did not have to queue for more than 5 minutes, I would recommend this time of year and weekday.
They did ask for ID so please take it to avoid disappointment.

I also have another pass but will have to go on Saturday, Are Saturday's busy?

    Thanks

Once someone has been to Thorpe Park, can they please let us know:

What type are the free tickets? Are they the standard ones that do not include the special rides such as Extreme and Stealth?

Where the tickets are picked up from, the advanced ticket collection point or from the usual sales place?

The free tickets are just normal tickets that everyone else has to pay almost £30 each for - As far as i am aware, Stealth etc is not a 'special' ride in the sense that you need a separate ticket.

I think you may be thinking of the fast pass tickets which you have to pay for.

Am off to Alton on Sunday with my sister, her boyfriend and my best friend. Really annoyed because Rita is closed at the moment for the forseeable future!

Anyone planning on going on Saturday 30th - this is another of those special groups bookings - Alton Towers has been booked by Gaydar, over 18s only.

Below text has been taken from the towerstimes forum, an email a member received...
You do not need to be a member of Gaydar dating site to go to Alton Towers for the day, or purchase the weekend package at all. The park is only open to over 18s though and the event is obviously aimed at the gay market as we are taking over the whole theme park ourselves.

You are right on all points :)

The free tickets are normal tickets, except they have FREE printed on them! Stealth does not require a special ticket, but is one of the more popular rides for which the special fast track tickets allow holders to avoid the queuing.

Enjoy your visit to Alton Towers.
