Seller is way ahead

Just had a ph call from the estate agent to ask where we're at as the seller is steaming ahead.

The seller has already had the valulation carried out and paid for all the searches. They're obviously very keen to move.

Im way behind, i had my agreement in principal when i put an offer in for the property, but my mortgage company have been very slow processing everything. Haven't even paid for the home buyers survery yet.

Would the seller be likely to be annoyed at this and pull out? Or because they've paid so much and quiet far ahead be prepared to wait.

I feel really bad now for them, i thought it would be a slow process so wasn't too worried about where im at.

I would start to pick up my pace, call the companies involved and ask them to push ahead, then reassure the seller you are doing everything you can to get things going.

    Good luck.
  • Push people to get things done...keep your seller informed of the progress....we were in a similar position but since the seller was not kept informed, he pulled out....lessson learnt the hard way:(
  • We're in a simular situation to you, we've had done our mortgage app and paid for our searches and waiting for the valuation to be done on the property we're buying, but our buyer hasn't paid his fees yet. Our estate agent told us not to worry he is keen to get going but is just checking everything along the way, needless so say I am worried and will be calling at the end of the week to see whats going on with the valuation being done on our flat!
