    My good lady is terrible around the shops. It's not that she buys anything particularly expensive and certainly nothing for herself. It's just that she gets so damn much!!!

    Well, as well as a spending diary, start a 'wasted food' diary then. Write down everything that gets chucked in the bin because its gone past its best before date/gone soggy/mouldy etc. Then, go back to your receipts and work out how much money you've just donated to the bin. Scary stuff.

    i think until he has his LB the decanting is the way forward!! or removing the wrappers!!

    the funny thing is that when he used to have to pay for the food shopping he lived on pot noodles and spam!

    Hmmmmmmm since i started paying his taste for expensive food has developed!! coincidence?!

    It was the extra special (or whatever the premium asda brand is called) carved ham that "fell" into the trolley that made me laugh! (as i put it back!) as he had brought enough to feed a family of 4 for a week! (i dont even eat it cos im veggie!) so half would end up in teh cat and the rest in the bin! SO wasteful!
