Do they actually make veggie tuna?!?
WHY?
The best thing about real tuna other than the taste is the nutritional value. Veggie Tuna- the concept is just wrong!
Sorry- not much help to your question!:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -
Holland and Barrett sell redwood, as do other other independent wholefood/health stores.
Have you asked them? http://www.redwoodfoods.co.uk/contactus/0 -

It is also nutritional, as are lots of vegetarian substitutes

OP, Have you tried making it? Some recipes are tofu based, but I do not like personally. You can make it with chickpeas as the base instead and it really kills those fishy cravings

As a long term veggie I stuggle to think why people would 'miss' tuna!
Anyway, if you live in a University town a lot of them have veggie food co-ops that anyone can join, almost always with acces to the redwood stock catalogue!0 -
OP do you have a link pls? I wasn't aware Redwoods did a tuna.
Thanks!0 -

I guessit is the need for that fishy taste? Just the same as buying quorn products, veggie bacon etc?OP do you have a link pls? I wasn't aware Redwoods did a tuna.
Thanks!
Was in a H&B today spending pennes on brazils(yum), they do not stock it, but they do a redwood tuna style pate.0 -
I'd say there's a fair few veggies out there who don't eat meat because they think it's ethically wrong, not because they hate the taste. I seriously miss tuna and mcchicken sandwiches but that doesn't mean I'm going to eat them :P0

Thanks OP, I never knew they had invented a 'veggie' tuna! I've been veggie for 25 years and a tuna sandwich is the one thing I have really really missed all these years. I had no idea that substitutes were available nowadays, so I am thrilled you posted.:)0
