Used recovery disk now no internet

Hi all could any of you lovely people help me? We have a dell inspirion 1501 which we used the recovery discs on that came with the laptop when we very first purchased it we now have everything that we expected except we cannot connect to the internet. We would normally use a wireless connection but cant find out how to do this any more. Many thanks

The owner manual has info that should help. Read from page 53 "Setting Up a network".
