Additions!

I have ordered a fridge freezer from additions, after the delivery guys dropped it off we sorted it out and unwrapped the handles (the only place that had packaging on.)
The one of the fitting on the handle wasn't plush to the fridge so obviously is faulty! the handle comes away from the door as you open it, I called up additions to say this is faulty please can you either exchange or sort it out, they said they would get someone to call me to sort it out. noone called so I called again, had to have another 20min phone call explaining it all.. again was told someone would call me back... and they didn't after calling again, the person told us we have to wait for our 12 months to run out (obv guarantee?) so obviously we say no way! .. all this has gone on now for a few weeks, they have now agreed an exchange, but they have taken a further £649 from our account and £6.95 for delivery... we have called again and everything that we have been told is rubbish apparently!
I can't get my head around it all and don't know where we stand, what I have explained here is the basics as its my husband that has been dealing with it so he will know exactly what was said etc... I am just wondering whether we can take this further or where we stand! we have been treated really badly and lied to quite a lot and still don't know whats happening... today has been left with - they are calling us back after going through the past phone calls apparently....
