Does your DD's dad have parental responsibility though as if so, I don't think you'll be able to do it without his knowledge tho you may be still able to do it? Also would DD be happy for you to do it as it;s not just a piece of paper for a holiday.

Also it may not cover what you need it for - I have no idea on that.

unfortunatly he does have parental responsibility,he got it just after we separated years ago but has never 'used' it,this may not be an option for us then.I think i may just risk it (famous last words!)as i said before its only 2 ports on our cruise that are in mexico so it wouldnt be the end of the world if we missed them and would be a better option and less problematic than dealing with my dd's father!thanks for your help though:)
