Online Dating

Hi guys what a great site this is, I wonder if anyone can help?

Yesterday afternoon I joined an online dating website and paid £30 with my Capital One card for a month's membership.

However after spending less than 24hrs browsing the site I have realised that I have made a mistake and that the site was not for me:doh:

This morning I sent an e-mail requesting a refund and received this in reply.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting customer service.
Sorry but when making an online transaction you argee to the terms of payment and choose the package which suits you the best. You choose the package yourself, all the information about the sum of payment and terms of repeat billing is present on the Payment Page. We cannot change the package you chose and purchased to another one as you agreed to the terms of Gold membership.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again. We'll do all we can to help.

Best Regards,

So I'm stuck obviously it is my fault but do I have any other port of call or do I have to wave goodbye to my £30 ?

You will probably have to wave bay bye. Just thank your lucky stars it's not 12 month contract.

Why not make the moost of it for a month, you might just find that wee gem hidden away where you least expect to find it.

    As Hintza said.

Also check the fine print to make sure they are not going to take another £30 next month too.

I see they mention repeat billing in their reply.

Defniitely check that you haven't signed up to a recurring contract and if so, check when / if you can cancel it and do so as soon as the terms allow. May be that you have to giive x months or days notice, but check carefully.
