Hope peeps don't mind me starting this weeks mealplan thread? I've just finished planning for this week and thought I may as well do it now before I forget. I did well sticking to the plan this week and it helped loads with the NSD's. Got a mix of easy and quick meals planned this week as it's going to be a busy week, a couple of the meals I'll make extra for the freezer on the days I have more time and will bake some lunch box goodies at weekend.

ooh this is great - do you do a regular thread like this? (sorry, newbie here). I'm completely obsessive about food planning but I do sometimes run out of inspiration so it's great that other people are doing it0
-
Yes, this is a weekly thread. Very good it is too - I'm a regular lurker on it. If you search the forum there are threads about monthly meal planning and a fairly recent (March-ish??) thread has a whole month's menus on it.0

Thanks for starting the thread, Herbaholic. I have also worked out my plan, and here it is.
Friday - salade nicoise
Saturday - cantonese rice
Sunday - barbecue lunch for 13 peeps (!!!) but guests will bring contributions. Apart from the various meats, I will serve home-grown corn on the cob (freezer, last season), an aubergine/chick pea tian for the vegetarian, and cheesecake for afters. I'm also going to try the peaches in brandy I read in a recent post. Starter and salads will be brought along by others.
Monday - any leftovers, and a quinoa/crab salad
Tuesday - couscous with apricots and blue cheese, baby spinach salad and/or stir-fried broccoli
Wednesday - steaks (bbq'd if weather still nice), hm chips and salad
Thursday - fish dish, probably paella
Friday - egg and lentil curry
Saturday - lemony meatball pasta
Sunday - roast chicken, or chicken salad depending on weather.
Enjoy a nice, sunny week, everyone!
