I am using Windows 7. Some time ago I bought a Linksys Media Center Extender which I connected up to my network (via cable). I was quite happy with this, it worked fine. However, I detached the extender to try something else, but decided that I preferred the media center interface.
When I reconnected the media center it went through the setup routine again. It gives 8 digits that you have to enter on the pc.
When I go to Media center/Tasks/Extender/add extender I enter the 8 digits it then goes through the first 2 stages ok then when it gets to Configuring your Extender I get the following error message:
Configuration Error
An error was encountered while configuring your computer for use with this extender.
Searches on the internet have suggest uninstalling the extender but I cannot find anything to uninstall. There's nothing in control panel/programs and features. There's no Add/ remove hardware.
Any suggestions?
