Perfect Fit roller blinds

Does anyone have any experience of Louvolite's Perfect Fit roller blinds? The sort where a frame is fixed on to your window and the blind is fixed behind this frame.
We have their pleated blinds in our conservatory and they are excellent but we wanted to have the roller type fitted in the bedrooms because of all day sun. The company that fitted our pleated ones have told us there have been problems with the tensioning of the roller types and he wouldn't recommend them. We're happy to take his advice but were just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem.

There is a zipper style fitting system that gives total blackout. (can't for life of me remember the name) Most TBO blinds are designed for commercial applications like theatres or projector/dark rooms so not cheap. Lovrelite are one of the top manufactureres in the UK, so I guess they should be OK. Seach cassette blinds, or total blackout but do not let suppliers palm you off with just blackout fabric on a standard roller.0

Thanks Knowloads. We don't actually want total blackout in particular, just want to stop the sun coming through and bleaching carpet/furniture so the same type of fabric we have in the conservatory is fine (reflective type, lets the light in but stops the sun shining through).
Cassette blinds is a phrase I didn't use in the search so I'll give that a go.
I did find one reviewer on AV forums who had the sort of problem we've been told about and he put some pictures up which was useful. I'm wondering if the lack of "complaints" on the 'net is because not many people have them or those that do have them don't have a problem.0 -
TM, I have a Perfect Fit tensioned roller blind in my bathroom. It gets raised and lowered at least twice a day. Never had any problem with it and it's still taught and as tensioned as it was when it arrived about a year (ish) ago.Herman - MP for all!0

Thanks for that Aliasojo, I was beginning to think nobody had ever bought them!
Being a bathroom window, can I take it it's quite small like ours? Can you tell me where you got it from and who fitted it, if you don't mind.
The bedroom windows, although not overly deep, are quite wide at approx 4' and what's putting me off is this photo on AV forums (scroll down to post #5).0 -
Got mine from here...http://www.directorderblinds.co.uk/shop.aspx?catmain=9&product=Perfect%20Fit%20Roller
Fitted it myself, all I had to do was push the brackets onto the window and click the blind onto the brackets. Took seconds, my 10 year old could have done it. I certainly haven't experienced the problems in your link with regards to raising it and the material rucking like that. Being a bathroom, I didn't need blackout blinds, mine are just plain white so can't comment on light bleeding, I need light in the bathroom not darkness so that kind of thing isn't an issue for me.
My window was approx 41" wide btw.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Thanks again. I'll check out that link, might ring them to see if they've encountered any problems like the other supplier.
Blackout not required, just need them to stop the sun's glare spoiling furnishings during the day, and there's curtains for night time.
I really appreciate your comments, helps to know whether people are satisfied or have problems.0
