sainsburys baby club farce

hello, i dont know if this is the right forum so please move if not. I am 7 months pregnant with no2 and has been 4 years since i last joined any clubs. however, i saw the advert in sainsburys for their baby club and bundle back that looks great. it says that if you are pregnant you will receive a voucher for the free back worth £9.99 when you buy nappies, or get 500 nectar points if your child is over 3 months old. i joined a month ago and heard nothing so i emailed them and they replied saying their mailing looks like junk mail and people throw them out (i look carefully before i throw anything out) and in anycase they have no more welcome packs to send out to people. yet they are still this minute advertising it on their site and no mention of them no longer sending them out. they have given me £2.50 of points but i really wanted the bundle (getting excited now baby nearly here). can they do this as it does not say if none available points will be given to a quarter of the pack value. surely under trading standards they are advertising an item to get your details and then not fulfilling their promise? im jst very disappointed as i spend a fortune in sainsburys but the box would have been a nice little present.

TBH, I signed up for that one too and the Tesco one. I never got anything from Sainsbury and although I got the Tesco baby magazines and vouchers, I never got the voucher for their gift pack. Pees me off because I bought a lot of nappies from them. I even tried to take the basket up to the counter with my nappies and they said you have to have the voucher. Stupid if you ask me.

i got a voucher from sainsburys for this offer, it expired the end of the next month when I received it, so I had about 6 weeks.

I went to 4 different sainsburys in my travels and every single store was sold out/never had them in.....

I then heard on a pregnancy forum (not the one on mse) that this had been withdrawn and anyone who hadnt received it should contact customer service and you'd get the nectar points instead.

Britwife i never got the voucher for the tesco one either although they sent the pack out twice to me it was never in there. I never shop at sainsburys so never bothered signing up to theirs

I havent bothered this time as the tesco one is just a plastic box which i already have (it looks the same as the johnsons one anyway) with a few cosmetic samples in. :-(

i have 3 little ones, but never heard about their club until i had my 3rd baby. within a couple of weeks of singin up i recived loads of mailing's. i often have emails also come through as well as coupons. i much prefer sainsbury baby club to tesco.

just an update for you, i replied to sainsburys email about only getting 500 points and queried the box situation and they have now offered me 2000 points (which i think is £10 in money to buy the box if i see it). so if anyone joins and they try to fob you off, reply again stating they are still advertising the box on their site, its a lovely box if you can get one.

My husband did recieve his when he signed up he waited months kept getting emails from the baby club so emailed them and they said sorry had run out of welcome packs but gave him 2000 nectar points worth £10!!
