I want to grow some acorn squash can somebody tell me if they have seen seeds anywhere or somewhere selling the squash.
I've tried many places with no luck - I only want to grow one plant.

I have read here of folk who use supermarket ones to eat, then use the seed from them
I however used purchased seed, and have only one plant to show for it. First, and probably last, time of growing them

Farway I have ordered some seed so I'll let you know how I get on. I haven't found any in the shops to eat and use the seeds. I did read the other day that if you have the wrong variety for your region then the flowers drop off. Funny squash is usually so easy to grow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I have accidentally grown Acorn squash from the seeds from a bought one (organic box though not supermarket).
Last year we moved the compost bin and last autumn, we had a lovely trail of Acorn squashes trailing accross the garden where the bin used to be :j. They must have grown from seeds we put in the composter :T. ! I'm sorry I don't know where to buy them but definitely try from a bought one.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
