Possibly means disabled persons bus pass, these are dealt with by local councils and each have their own criteria, in my area you have to receive higher rate DLA to get one but some are much more flexible.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • thank you for your reply . my local council is poo they even stopped giving the school uniform grants i cant believe it !!!
  • Your friend may have had a Motability car, if she is in reciept of DLA at the higher rate.

if the transport is needed for your appointments to see the pshychiatrist, then you can get free transport. Most nhs hospitals that deal with mental health have a transport service.Either by ambulance car, taxi or voluntry drivers.(i am a voluntry driver in mental health in leicestershire).
You need to speak to your dr or pshychiatrist who will tell you how to arange it.

I was in the same position as you and asked the job centre about incapacity benefit.

I have now been on IB since January now and have just completed my IB medical and don't have to go to the job centre anymore or get sick notes from the doc. Review again next year.

You will get more money on IB as well. I get £70.05 per week now.

If you are on an Enhanced care plan with your mental health disabiltiy then you may qualify for a freedom pass on the basis of needing it to get to your regular appointments. If you qualify then contact your local social services dept. for an application form. Then your cpn is the person to ask to fill out & stamp the form.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
