Contacts from my hotmail email have received scam emails yesterday supposedly sent by me. Have deleted most contacts and changed passwords. I have been searching hotmail and cannot find a contact email so I can try and make sure this doesn't happen again. When I click contact tehnical support it asks me to creat another account although I am already signed in.

Hotmail aren't responsible and can't / won't do anything about it. Spammers are just spoofing your email address so it appears to be from a genuine account. The same happens with all email providers.0

This happened to me last week i changed my password its been fine since as far a i know i have myself on my contacts link .0

Change your hotmail password again, do this on a totally different computer. To something really random. Then thoroughly virus scan your PC/laptop.
If it's using your contacts it has access to your account and has probably recorded your login/password when you have typed it it. I had this with yahoo before but a password change stopped it happening again.0 -
Thanks Markyt, this is the first time it has happened to me so I suppose I have been lucky up to now.
stef73, thanks for your reply. I also have myself on my contacts but to different email addresses and the sam arrived there.
Little Miss Uni-Debt, I will do this. We have McAfee so I will do a scan now.

Maybe better to do the old favourite (especially on this board) malwarebytes and hijack this log:
Method copied from alienRIK:
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/2894/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
