enough to start stoozing?

hi all,

im wondering if you can help me. i have delved into a bit of stoozing with my student overdrafts ( i have two) but i would like to do it with credit cards as well as funds are running low now even though i work.

i already have a two credit cards one with lloyds which i got with the basic current account not the student one and the other i got from natwest with student current account.

i pay both off i full each month. however i have have had about two mishaps with the student overdrafts ( just going over my limit) since january. so my questions are will this affect me getting credit cards and will my creditscore be good enough to get the credit cards do you think. my finances are in pretty good order i like to think and i do have savings ut i would like to earn that bit more on top to keep me covered do you think this is possible?

many thanks

sac xx

i would like to do it with credit cards as well as funds are running low now even though i work.

Does this mean that you're looking for a credit card to provide you with a source of funds? That's not stoozing ;)

You mention going over the limits on your overdrafts - have you checked your credit report to see whether you're on the electoral register and to see how these have been reported? Going over a limit on an overdraft is one thing, doing the same thing with a credit card is a whole different thing. You sure you have enough money and control of your finances to avoid this ever happening?

Stoozing isn't a short-term source of income, you need to be able to play the long game with it and if you're still a student then IMO there's too many uncertainties in your financial future.

At the end of the day, all you can do is check your credit report then make a decision yourself whether to apply for a 0% purchase card or not.

oh no im not looking to just spend on the cards, i have read martins artcle on stoozing and get it completely. i am on the electrol registar so that isnt an issue. the only reason why i went over is becuase student loans were supposed to hit my account yet they were late paying otherwise i am very good at knowing what is in my account.

if anything was to go wrong then i do have savings but it shouldnt do as i dont spend that much anyway. i also have a dairy in which i write down when all my standing orders and bills need to be paid by so i do have record that i can easily look at.

    thanks for your help xx

smalandcute, I am assuming as you post here that you have a computer. Why don't you keep a spreadsheet of all your finances as well as your diary? It has the added advantage of budgeting for the future automatically and if you don't already have a package to allow you to do this you can download a copy of 'open office' which is free and very useful.

    Good luck
