How long before you can apply for Egg card again

Cancelled my Egg card in April, but wouldn't mind applying for one again to take advantage of the cashback offers, especially with Dixons as they seem to be the cheapest for a digital camera I'm after. I seem to remember the customer service lady telling me it was a year, but nothing is stated in the cancellation email they sent me....

I had an Egg Money card and when I closed it I was told 12 months. Not sure if they hold you to that or not and it seems a ridiculously long period of time. You'd think they'd bite your hand off if you offered to take out a card.
Liked the benefits, just the fact that it was getting declined that put me off (seemed to be their overzealous security systems, but still a bit embarrassing!!

It is 12 months, and even after 4 years of flawless credit history with the before, they didnt bite my hand off.0

Just to confirm - 12 months. See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=240981 for a secure message I had from them.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Is this an industry standard or is it just Egg being Egg?0

It's Egg being Egg. Other companies use either 3 or 6 months as the 'standard' for being a new customer after closure.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
