lawn moss advice needed
my dad (87) has a large rear lawn that is being ruined by moss and toad stools over the last 3-4 years, we have tryed all means of potions and even had a national lawn care company in last year to treat the lawn (not cheap) and air it then raked it but its still getting worse. any idears apart from dig out lawn and 2ft of soil then re soil and re lawn would be welcomed.

When we moved here the lawn was in a terrible state with so many weeds and moss,,,we used lawn sand the whole lawn then turned black as if it had been burnt, we then used a electric lawn raker to remove all the dead moss , thatch, and weeds.
We then re seeded and then got a perfect lawn, the lawn sand as nutrients in and when the grass grow its lush and green..
So every spring and autumn now I use the lawn raker to get any thatch and moss out before it turns into a huge job again with moss and lawn sand. ...Lawn sand isnt very expensive around 5 pound a box , and also you can buy a electric lawn raker from B&Q for as little as 45 pound..Job done ,
