Marguerite bush?

Bought a standard small bush labelled as marguerite but cannot find any info about it hardly, the flowers are daisy like. I only ask as I bought one for £2 instead of £13 reduced at B and Q and could do with some advice to help perk it up. Does it flower all year? Shall I deadhead and remove any browning bits? Is it hardy? Sorry, I can't find much on google about it!!

A marguerite daisy plant only lasts for a season but is very pretty when it has lots of flowers. Dead head it and water it regularly and more flowers will appear. It should last all summer but after that it's gone.

Ar that's a shame, but it is lovely so don't mind paying a couple of quid for it. Hopefully it should pick up and go great guns for some months to come!!

Where you are it may well be an annual but down on the south coast they can last for a few years. Some close to Hastings sea front went on for years.

I have marguerites that are from parents going back well over ten years. The plants are not hardy, but cuttings are easy with a bit of bottom heat. Newly rooted ones will usually do two or three seasons before they get too old and woody to regenerate after winter indoors.

    Look for info under 'argyranthemum.'

I bought one from B&Q last year, and it overwintered in the frost-free greenhouse. Even kept flowering (not a lot, but any flowers in the middle of winter are a bonus).
It's been back outside for about 6 weeks and bigger and stronger than ever.

Keep feeding it in growing season (more and larger flowers), and yes, dead-heading helps!

    Lovely plant!

Oh fab so I can keep it going possibly, it is gorgeous and well worth paying for for one season anyway, I almost wish I'd bought one in better condition now, may get another.

Maybe I could get it to overwinter - Davesnave you're a star have put that on me favourites list :D
