Somwhere warm in April 2011

I am looking for suggestions for a holiday next April for a week.
2 adults, who want nice restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. An 18 year old who wants a bit of nightlife and a 17 year old who just goes with the flow.

I am very fair skinned so preferably no hotter than 21 degrees celcius (70 fahrenheit)

Been thinking about Portugal or Greece, but have only ever been to Ireland so dont really know where to start.

Thank you

Costa Brava in Spain? Definitely won't be baking hot and you can go to Barcelona for sight seeing.

We always go on holiday at the end of April. Spain is nice that time of year, not baking hot but nicely warm. Problem is that a lot of places are very quiet that time of year. Cambrils (south of Barcelona) was practically deserted.

We did Madeira this year, and it was overcast most of the time, not cold, but not hot either.

Mallorca also had very nice weather. A little chilly in the evenings, tho, again most of the places were like ghost towns!

Costa Brava has a short season and I would not go there in April. Most Greek resorts don't really open up till May either. The Algarve should be fine, also Southern Spain, Cyprus, Malta, South Italy and Sicily.

The Canary Islands or Madeira would be your best bet at that time of year as at least everything will be open.

Canaries or Turkey are definitely your best bet.

Most of the Med was cold in April and early May this year, for example - 12-15C and peeing down. Just like home!
