Insurance renewals
Options
I'm just wondering if anyone has managed to get a good deal on their insurance renewals this year or if the industry is generally not budging? I've been hearing that people are getting some stupidly high renewal quotes....
I think I've been quite lucky - my insurer decided to put my monthly payments down From £430 to £380 (4 years NCB as opposed to 3) but I decided that wasn't good enough so rang up to have a moan. Policy prompty shot down from £380 to £272 for the year (a price which I am overjoyed with btw)
Have I been lucky, or has anyone else managed to get significant reductions?

The whole business of insurance is led by cashbacks rather than retaining customers. You need to assess the net position to move and then go back and make your argument. You already know what your company is offering to newcomers as a cashback incentive.
It is madness but that is the game these days.0 -
Hi .
I actually changed insurance companies this time around after having a lot of trouble with my previous insurer (Budget Insurance) and my premium has dropped !
This is actually the first time i have actually held my own car insurance as i was always the named driver on my husbands policy but now i have been allowed to take on my husbands NCB from this car and my (first time) insurance is only £175 and that includes legal cover and protected NCB ! Now i thought that was a great price !

We are with CIS, my husband is the policy holder and has just been given a renewal amount of £235. I am a named driver, in fact i am the main driver so decided
to get a quote myself on line, guess what, mine was £185 for exactly the same cover.
Guess we will be changing it to my name then.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
