When am I no longer classed as astudent?

I've completed my first year of uni. I am starting another course in January with OU. Up until then, I would need to claim benefit of some sort to live off.
My question is, because I was / am a full-time student, I'm not currently entitled to JSA. When would I be entitled to this?
