Just to be clear, if you owe any bank money and have money in an account with the same bank on the day of bankruptcy then they can use the right of set of to take the money in the bank account. So if you owe them money open the account the day after the bankruptcy.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

In the last 2 years everyone on this board who has gone bankrupt in Brighton has been told by the OR that he would close the account and that the bankrupt would have to open a new account.
