My OH usually replaces his new car every year, ouch.I have suggested (after reading comments on here) that maybe 3 year old would be better. It a prestige car he is looking for,and i usually buy mine privately and sell privately .Any tips how to start finding the car he wants, cutting the costs .Should he email dealers direct or put a wanted ad?Any help appreciated in my attempt to make him more moneysaving.

For a 3 year old car, I suggest a car supermarket. Many cars are offloaded just before they are 3 years old as the warranties run out and the first MOT is due. there are usually too many for main dealers so the best value ones often end up in the car supermarkets.

Other option is buying private ... but theres no warranties!!
