    The cheapest website I've found for cables and the like is DealExtreme. HERE is their version of the cable you're looking for.

    Because they're sending things from abroad, it does take 2 weeks for things to arrive, but I've never had any problems with them.

    You can only geniune apple leads if your on OS 3 or later there is a way to use the cheaper ones but is not recommended has this will invalidate your warrenty. If you are still on OS 2 or lower then I believe any lead will do but I recommend a search on google for your answers

    You are right, i ordered one from ebay which cost me £18, they mention it will work for 3GS. fingers crossed.

    I use it all the time, sometimes the video can be a little jerky. Also can't output from websites like iphone.tvcatchup.com which has many freeview channels or from the Sky TV app. But for videos, tv shows and podcasts stored it is very useful.

    Actually that's not strictly true - you need to get the right cable (i.e. a "made for iPod" cable) but I have the belkin composite cable and it works perfectly. Quality is pretty good and as a plus I use it to charge my iPod touch (as it's plugged into the USB socket of my Wii).
