  • jkelly81 – did you decide on a workable solution or is the £1 pledge thing going to be how you resolve your debt problems? I’m not sure what happened to your thread on the Bankruptcy board, but I hope it’s a step in the right direction and you get the help you need.

Only time will tell...but I think I have 2 maybe 3 years left at best if things don't improve.

And if you don't find this miraculous money tree in 3 years you'll just leave your family to deal with it all without you then, yes?

Seriously struggling to see how spending less money and just paying your debts off is a worse option.... :(

The whole point (and the point the OP in this thread made) was that I need money above what I am owe in debt...I could also do with better APR than I currently have (DMP were not able to negotiate anything) currently my debt looks to grow by at least 200 a month...having a big sum of cash would enable me to be able to scrap the dmp, phone up my creditors, ask for reduced final payment figures, pay them off, and then concentrate on paying the one loan with more favourable APR while actually having some money to enjoy for a change that would go towards improving my families quality of life....it simply isn't going to happen in my DMP....the 200 extra a month (at least!) of debt that I accrue each month is a perpetual motion money maker for my bank!!

Interesting thread. Sounds exactly what I was after. I don't see half as much the same level of abuse as i got when asking the same thing. What gives?

Truth be told I thought it was you...
