Interesting thread. Sounds exactly what I was after. I don't see half as much the same level of abuse as i got when asking the same thing. What gives?

Really, you can't see any difference at all between this person's situation and yours? Have a try, go on.

Begging for money isn't getting you very far either I see. Big surprise.

    Enlighten (amuse) me please....

You've amused the rest of the board with your stupidity.

Post reported for your imbecile attempts at begging money from MSE members.

Think you have proved my point. Whats the criteria for receiving advice on this site?! A better username?

Simply pointing out that I raised another post saying I was looking to borrow a similar figure for a similar reason, and just get abuse like the above. This guy gets a few suggestions, some people give the usual sarcastic responses but other people shut them up, and then he gets his loan and people wish him luck. So what is the big difference?!

Don't really understand why you two've started dragging up this old thread, but ho-hum.

Had a read through your blog...it's not a bad idea, really...there are some people around who'll buy a raffle ticket for anything, so you never know. I'd have thought you'd stand more chance just saying "raffle: £100 prize" and see if you could shift 200 tickets. As soon as you have, award the price then start the next one..."raffle: £100 prize" and off you go again...At least that way people are assured that *someone* will get the prize...and your worst case is that you lose £100.

What lets you down, though, is your blog. I can see what you're going for, an open, transparent kinda thing...but it just makes you sound like an idiot.

"we spend many pounds per day on pointless things, just one pound more is not going to break us"

Hmm...and I wonder how you got into debt in the first place. :wall:

The blog is a joke and the fact people are taking offense at it proves how stupid most people here are...but my question about why some people receive different treatment on here when asking about the same thing is very serious.

If anyone watches the simpsons...this is how I feel..

    It is?

You know jokes are supposed to be funny, right?
